This paper shall serve as a general overview of the book by Philip D. Curtain, Africa Remembered: Narratives by West Africans from the Era of the Slave Trade. The purpose of the paper is to provide readers with a general understanding of both the content and the point of Curtains text. An examination and summary will be provided of Curtains thesis as well as the three primary sections to his book.
