The Logic of Capital in The Pig and the Skyscraper: Chicago: A History of the Future by Marco DEramo
This paper will seek to understand why DEramo uses the logic of capital to show how Chicago is economically expanding too fast, and how this affects the segregated social communities it possesses. Also, we can learn how industrial capitalist irresponsibility has made Chicago polluted in the air, as well as in Lake Michigan. The lack of care for these important issues place money and profit above common sense logic to motive government restrictions on expansion and pollution.
