Title: A Chapter 10 Analysis in The Hurried Child Syndrome by David Elkinds
This paper will outline Chapter Ten of David Elkinss book "The Hurried Child Syndrome." By making observations on the reasons for his view on a fast-paced society, we can understand that children are pushed much too fast when placed within learning environments. Parents are urged to develop their children along the lines of Piaget's Stages Theory in Childhood Development, making it possible for children to be encouraged to learn at a normal rate, rather than be forced into concepts they cannot grasp for their age group.
