This paper is on the subject of child labor, trade, and economic development in China today, a country still plagued by various charges concerning trade and development and issues such as child labor and prison labor, issues that have been raised again and again in the argument over granting most-favored-nations (MFN) status to China and in allowing China to join the World Trade Organization (WTO) as the country wishes.
