Addressing Business Law: Its Principles and the Field of Biotechnology.
This paper addresses the topic of business law and why a knowledge of business law is essential in working in the modern business environment. This paper serves as an applied knowledge paper, indicating that the paper shall first address business law in the workplace and then provide a case study focusing on why it is essential to incorporate an understanding of business law into business strategies. This paper also refers to the source "Business Law" (11th Edition) by Mallor (2000). The second half of this paper demonstrates exactly why business law is essential in industry through investigating the issue of property ownership, intellectual property, and patents in the biotechnology industry.
