Summary: The purpose of this thesis is to present the timeline of events spanning 100 years of invention and innovation of air conditioning. Beginning with Dr Willis Carrier, who left behind a legacy of milestones with the introduction of air conditioning system, stemming to today's complexities due to global recession, markets' differentiation, strategic alliances, channels' globalization, ever-changing market trends and profits minimization.
