Strategic recommendations for the Vermont Teddy Bear Company
This paper will make strategic management recommendations to the senior management of the Vermont Teddy Bear Company based on the Case Study Number 27 The Vermont Teddy Bear Company as it was prepared by Joyce P. Vincelette, Ellie A. Fogarty, Thomas M. Patrick, and Thomas L. Wheelen in 1998. First, this paper will outline the problems facing Vermont Teddy Bear Company. Second, using the findings of fact mentality, this paper will go over some general recommendations and then outline, in detail, three specific strategic recommendations. This paper will not provide a synopsis, nor identify the resources, capabilities, and core competencies of the Vermont Teddy Bear Company, but will examine these aspects of the company in the context of the recommendations.
