This paper considers the ethics of systems engineering in the creation of computer information systems, analyzing the different ideas about the creation of professional codes of conduct to govern behavior and about the rationale for protecting the privacy of clients and assuring the sufficient attention is given to the issue of security, considered of vital importance today.
