The Canadian government promoted Tele- Film as a department in which public and private influences provide financial assistance and to otherwise lend support in order to encourage the production of feature films, drama series, documentaries and new media products. Each project approved by Tele- Film is intended to support Canadian society while encouraging cultural diversity. This paper explores dialogues over the funding and the validity of Tele- Film in regards to its impact on Canadian film making. No conclusion is provided in this paper.
