The Re-Emergence of Tuberculosis - Multiple Drug Resistance and Control Measures in Canada.
This paper is written as a presentation to explain the current TB epidemic as visited upon Canadian urban areas in particular, control measures instituted in Canada, but emphasizing how the public health role can be very much one of encouraging doctors to bear the TB epidemic in mind. Public education, provided in Canada for more than 10 years in a concerted effort, has yet to strongly influence doctors upon whom all TB control programs ultimately rely with regard to both diagnosis and treatment.
