This paper is suitable for a seminar presentation. It discusses the giraffe as a unique species, and several features that tend to be less known that support this view. The species' long neck is thought to be an example of sexual selection in that males fight using their necks to inflict blows. The species do communicate in sounds that were not known before; their tongues are unique, as are their circulatory systems.
