Examining the Work of A.H. Itwaru and the Origins of Guyana's IndoCaribbean Heritage
Within this paper, I have demonstrated how A.H. Itwaru artistically represents the racist institutionalized shackles that have prevented the IndoCaribbean inhabitants of Guyana from obtaining a firm, historical position within the Guyanese historical record. In order to do this, I have examined Itwaru's "Maze-Run" and "Shatki" while employing an idea from "Negative Ecstasy" as well.
