This paper explores the concept of "immigration" in Salman Rushdie's first novel, "Grimus". This book explores the life of an immortal named Flapping Eagle, who sets out to try and find a place to die. His pilgrimmage is similar to the experiences found within the lives of immigrants who travel, looking for a sense of place and of security.
