Literary Analysis: Flower Imagery in Lycidas by John Milton
This paper will seek to understand the nature of flower symbolism in the poem "lycids" by John Milton. By accessing many of the symbols of the flower as a symbol of immortality through nature, Milton helps us to see his own views on the death of friend Edward King. By knowing the phenomenon of the flower through Nature, he finds the immortality of the human soul where death cannot venture.
