this paper is about the character of molly in George Orwell's 'Animal Farm'. Although many people may believe that the greatest threats to a society's freedom come from outside its borders, it is often the case that people unwilling to fight for freedom within those borders are just as destructive as outside marauders. In 'Animal Farm', Molly eventually betrays the revolution out of laziness, cowardice, and narcissism - and thus represents a different kind of 'enemy' than Mr. Jones.
