In this paper we will explore issues concerning the professional ethics of the Internet. For the professional, the Internet offers a huge wealth of information both good and bad, unfortunately the vary nature of the Internet makes policing this new domain practically impossible. In a way the Internet is a kind of Wild West for the professional. There is information that can be pirated and claimed as ones own and there are many ways to make money that are either on the fringes of legitimacy, or out right illegal. Though in many cases this line for what is illegal and what is just unethical is hard to draw. Some believe we need more censorship of the Internet to help draw this line for people. In this paper, will explore some of these issues of censorship and show how they relate to professional ethics.
