Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, and Descartes: A Comparative Analysis
This eight page undergraduate paper examines the ancient Greek philosopher Socrates, who believed that doing wrong is always evil because it disrupts the order of ones soul. And if the souls of the majority of the multitude are corrupted, what chance does the society as a whole have to be ruled with justice and effectiveness? Socrates expressed his conviction that only he who is by nature good at remembering, quick to learn, high-minded, graceful, and a friend and relative of truth, justice, courage, and moderation qualifies to be a philosopher, and thus someone worthy of emulation.
