The Exploration of Class Distinctions: Aristotle's Perceptions on the Rich and the Poor.

This paper explores the theories of Aristotle in respect to his perceptions of the divide between the rich and the poor, and how this distinction impacts society. Aristotle strongly believes that neither the rich nor the poor are equipped for promoting a functional and balanced social environment due mainly to their lack of moral character. In order to circumvent this problem, it is necessary to ensure that the middle classes are empowered in terms of political structure, where the middle class does indeed have the knowledge of virtue that is essential for the forward- thinking society. There is an emphasis on the essay "Polis" from Aristotle's work Politics. 10 pgs, bibliography lists 4 sources.
