Children and their Interaction with Others.

This paper discusses child-context interaction and the environment of the child. The first six years of life are the foundation for knowledge and skills that will be necessary for successful school adjustments and life in general. "The readiness, or developmental status of a child when he or she makes the transition from home to school is the result of a complex web of interactions between the child's genetic endowment and the environment around the child" (School Readiness 1). The development of a child involves dynamic interaction between inherent characteristics of a child and his or her environment. Heredity and environment interact in complex ways that are often difficult to predict. These areas will play a large role on the child at school and later in life.
