This paper is an effort to describe the self as a system, showing the self as a focal system (Zastrow, 2004) and so as the central point for the interconnection of larger systems making up the Holon. Systems theory concentrates on the arrangement of and relations between the parts that make up the whole. The organization is what creates a system.
