This paper discusses similarities and differences between three articles on adults role, particularly parents role, in child development. The first article by Bell (1968) focuses on the limitations of the model of socialization and the action of a parent on child. The second article by Rotenberg et al. (2003) examines the responses of children to adult behaviors and the influence of adult behaviors on the sociability of children. The focus of the third article by Grolnick et al. (1997) is narrower than the other two and examines the influence of parent involvement in childrens schooling.
