This paper examines the fields of psychology and explains what each is. Psychology is not an exact science, but it employs the scientific methods in its efforts to discover the reasons for human behavior. However, human behavior is quite complex and a great mystery and for any psychologist to attempt to study the whole of human behavior in mass would be quite difficult. Because of this fact the field of psychology has been divided into a myriad of sub-specialties. By doing this it is possible for each field to be studied completely and then the various levels of understanding can be integrated into one comprehensive theory of psychology and the workings of the human mind. Experimental, social, education and clinical psychology are explained. Industrial, counseling and clinical psychologists and their jobs are also explained.
