The Shaping of My Behaviors by Conditioning and Punishment.

This personal narrative by a Middle-Eastern student lists five bad behaviors and then measures the effectiveness of punishment or reward in changing those behaviors. People learn by different means and some means of learning and reinforcement have different impacts on people at different times. No one is perfect and there is no doubt that everyone has behaviors that they want to change and extinguish. I know there have been many for me, but I have found that punishment doe snot go a long way to solving my negative behaviors. Throughout his life he engaged in a variety of different behaviors and he discovered that positive reinforcement is more likely to change his behavior than punishment. It concludes that punishment does not end negative behaviors and only motivates the person to avoid the punishment.
