This paper demonstrates that the explorers James Cook and Christopher Columbus, among others during the Age of Exploration, needed to face many perils in their travels. Paper relies on three primary texts: "The Four Voyages" by Christopher Columbus, "Voyages, Trafficks, and Discoveries of the English Nation" by Richard Hakluyt, and "The Journal of Captain James Cook" by James Cook. 8 pgs.
