This paper reports on an observation of a movie theater crowd, discussing the cultural aspects of the visit as seen in the people, their actions, and the locale, noting ways that the experience has become more mechanized and such that it places the people into a moving crowd moved along by technology in the form of electronic displays and patterned behaviors.
