The paper is actually near 1500 words when completed. It is a composite comparing the evolution of labor exploitation in the British Caribbean from slavery and emancipation, to indentureship and the death of this system. Despite conservative pressures by the plantation owners, geopolitics, economic realities, abolitionist pressures and resistance from the laborers themselves characterized the evolution and end of these forms of exploitation.
