This paper will be a discussion of societys sin transition. More specifically it will answer the following questions: Whit is that Western aid programs seem to benefit the West? Why is Nagles examination limited to the Third World? The other question that will be examined is in todays economically and militarily lopsided world of vast inequalities, dwindling natural resources and environmental degradation, how can economic development occur with democracy?
