Synopsis: This paper will discuss two literary articles: The Old Testament: Genesis, Books 1-9 and Maryse Conde's The Last of the African Kings, and seek to understand how these creationist themes relate to each other. By seeing these values in two different myths, we can see how one's origins become important in light of these literary themes.
