Dictionaries define rights as privileges, which a person is owed and guaranteed by law. These include the right to vote, the right to choose a spouse, the right to divorce, the right to an education, and in the U.S., the right to free speech. Thus, the fight for womens rights is the struggle by the female gender (and the men that support them) to garner the same political, individual, and work-related privileges provided to the male sex.
